Your questions, answered
Vyta is designed for women in perimenopause, menopause, and postmenopause who want physician-led, personalized hormonal and wellness care. We treat women who feel dismissed by conventional medicine, those seeking a more proactive approach to midlife health, and anyone who wants to optimize how they feel and age.
Learn About VytaVyta physicians specialize exclusively in menopause and midlife women's health. The average OB-GYN receives fewer than 4 hours of menopause training in medical school. Our physicians spend 45–60 minutes with you, run comprehensive hormone and metabolic labs, and build personalized treatment plans — not just symptom management.
Common signs include irregular periods, new-onset hot flashes or night sweats, sleep disruption, mood changes, brain fog, and low libido — typically beginning in the 40s (sometimes earlier). A Vyta physician will review your symptoms and run FSH, estradiol, AMH, and thyroid labs to confirm your hormonal status.
Take the Health AssessmentYour first appointment is a 45–60 minute consultation with a Vyta physician. We take a comprehensive health history, discuss your symptoms and goals, order a hormone and metabolic lab panel, and create your personalized care plan. You'll leave with a clear picture of where you are hormonally and a specific next-step plan.
No referral is required. You can book a consultation directly through our website or by calling our clinic.
For most healthy women under 60 who are within 10 years of menopause onset, the benefits of hormone therapy significantly outweigh the risks. The widespread fear of HRT was based on a misinterpreted 2002 study. Current evidence from The Menopause Society and leading endocrinologists supports HRT as safe and effective for most women.
Read the Full HRT GuideBioidentical hormones are chemically identical to the hormones naturally produced by your body. Unlike older synthetic progestins, bioidentical progesterone has a different (more favorable) risk profile. Vyta uses FDA-approved bioidentical hormones (like Prometrium and Estradiol) and, where appropriate, compounded formulations.
Many women notice sleep improvements and mood stabilization within 1–2 weeks of starting progesterone. Hot flash relief typically begins within 4–8 weeks. Full optimization — energy, libido, skin, cognitive clarity — usually takes 2–3 months and is refined after follow-up labs at 6–12 weeks.
Hormone therapy has benefits beyond symptom relief — including bone protection, cardiovascular benefit (when started early), and cognitive health. A physician consultation will help you weigh the full picture, not just symptom severity.
This requires a detailed conversation with your Vyta physician and oncologist. In some situations — particularly with certain types of breast cancer — local or systemic HRT may still be appropriate. We never make blanket assumptions and always individualize care.
